A JOKE OF AN EXCUSE FOR A TOWN HALL MEETING Geronimo, Texas - 8:00pm - I just got off the phone from listening to the biggest joke of a 'town hall meeting' I've experienced yet. Our 28th U.S. Congressional District of Texas Representative, democrat congressman Henry Cuellar is still on vacation. Maybe he is hiding in Mexico but one thing is for sure -- he is still cowering somewhere instead of facing the people of South Texas. Instead of facing his constituents he dismisses them, much like his fellow democrat Sheila Jackson-Lee who made a cell phone call in the face of a voter asker her a question. Cuellar has opted to hide behind his phone too! First his ROBO call announcement was received about one hour INTO his so-called Town Hall Meeting. Calling the phone number, I found out the 'Town Hall Meeting' was actually being held over the phone, like ours... I THOUGHT! Silly me! Cuellar had his small army of socialists pre-screen every call and only allow through very low ball, easy questions. I spent a hour on the phone pressing "0" as instructed in order to ask a question. I never got through. Now, how could they have known I was not going to ask an easy question. SIMPLE! They also had ongoing 'survey' questions while we waited on line that, if answered honestly [by pressing a number on the phone], informed the screeners who to let through and who not to. I answered honestly. Silly me! For Cuellars part, the answers he gave, or rather, the mini-speeches he gave were pitiful. Because he hails from a fairly conservative part of South Texas, he continuously claimed he was a conservative 'Blue Dog Democrat.' He claimed that he was responsible for keeping the 'health care bill' from being voted on before their vacation. When a question turned to 'responsibility' he quickly said; "This is not my bill." When one caller pointedly asked about; "illegal, err, ah, undocumented people being included in the health care bill," and said that only citizens should be included, Cuellar was very careful to reword his answer [mini-speech] to never utter the 'citizen' word. He changed the term to those here "legally" and "not legally." Of course, those of us without our head in the sand know that AMNESTY is right around the corner and his goal is to instantly make every one of them 'legal' even though not citizens. This is where our 12% uninsured Americans balloons to 20% or more. It appears there are American congressmen who think 'American' includes North, South and Central.
