May 24, 2009 The master of child-killing has two individuals on his short list for the Supreme Court vacancy. One of them is Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. We in Michigan know this nominee all too well. It's no surprise to anyone that the liar-in-chief talks of dialogue and common ground whlie indeed peddling his brand of pure darkness. Granholm is as pro child-killing as one can get. She was at the top of Emily's list during her campaign. She supports homosexual special rights and hate crimes legislation (the exact same thing). She vetoed the ban on partial birth infanticide. She took a suffering state economy and finished us off as 50th on the list of national prosperity and first on the list of unemployment and personal suffering. The only slight consolation would be that due to her Canadian birth, she can never be president. Oh wait a minute, that's right, we have trashed that part of the Constitution. This is a prime example of the universality and significance of the battle of Notre Dame. This is the failure of spiritual and moral leadership. You see, Ms. Granholm is a Catholic. In her parish in Northfield before her migration to Lansing to ruin our state, she was a lector who routinely read the Scriptures at Mass. Her pastor at the time of her campaign ignored her "culture of death" mindset and banished us protestors to the sidewalk in front of the church under threat of arrest. Likewise, the Bishop of Lansing at that time (he has since retired, good riddance) refused to care enough about her endangered immortal soul to intervene. He told a local priest, "I don't want to offend her." If she is the nominee will we hear any response from the church in Michigan? If she is the nominee, who will oppose her confirmation? The GOP? Oh please. The Battle of Notre Dame has opened the festering cancer of bad leadership in the Body of Christ. This is the new frontier of the salvation struggle. It affects and will affect every one of us regardless of our denomination or non-denomination. People may grow weary of my saying it, but I must reiterate. The master of child-killing is actively and rapidly dismantling our civilization and the church in America is standing back and letting it happen. Patrick J.
