Surprise vote TODAY: Pelosi to homosexualize military...Senate may vote Friday [Passes in HOUSE]
    ::

    Dec. 15, 2010

The New York Times is reporting Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) may force a sudden vote today, Wednesday, on the floor of the House of Representatives to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell and force open homosexual aggression upon our troops against their will.  But Marine Corps General James Amos immediately condemned the vote as costing lives:  "When your life hangs on a line on the intuitive behavior of the young man that sits to your right and your left, you don’t want anything distracting that."

    -----

The Senate may vote in less than 72 hours.  The Senate may vote by this Friday to homosexualize the military, now that RINO Senator Dick Lugar (R-IN, 202-224-4814) has stated through his spokesman that he's "leaning" toward changing his vote to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." According to The Wonk Room blog, Sen. Lugar's spokesperson Mark Helmke said the Senator is willing to stay past Christmas to debate the issue. Asked if he would vote for cloture if Reid extended the session and provided more time for debate, Helmke said Lugar is "leaning that way."  According to an email entitled "Senators caving in to pro-homosexual pressure!" our friend Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel also reports Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY, 202-224-3424) has recently waffled on the issue, and may vote pro-homosexual, to the surprise of many.

With 3 other Republicans now openly hinting toward repeal, Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME, 202-224-2523), Scott Brown (R-MA, 202-224-4543) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK, 202-224-6665), our troops may lose a 62-38 cloture vote, and be forced to quit or violate their Christian morals, sharing common sleeping quarters and showers with openly aggressive homosexuals, against the will of 91% of our troops. Already 24% of polled troops, over one half million, said they will quit the service

Time is expiring.  Unless Sen. Harry Reid extends the session, this Friday is the final day of the Lame Duck session of the Senate.  That means the vote may come sooner than we're prepared.  And we have zero margin of error.  Everybody please call Lugar, Enzi, Brown, and Murkowski right now, and say these words:  "Please filibuster Senate Bill 4022 and stop the homosexualization of our military, or we will score your vote and fax it to every Christian pastor in your state, and donate to your primary opponent next election."

Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) filed a Rule 14 motion Tuesday, waiving our troops right to have any committee review the new fast-tracked bill S.4022 that bypasses debate or hearings, and repeals the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law.  The new bill forces open homosexual aggression on our troops against the will of 91% of our troops, using the same language that failed a cloture vote last week by 40-57 (thank God) in the Pentagon budget, but now rears its head again as an ugly "stand-alone" bill.

Also in breaking news Tuesday morning, Politico.com reported House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-PA), were expected to introduce stand-alone "don't ask, don't tell" repeal legislation on Tuesday in the House of Representatives, according to three sources actively involved in repeal discussions.  Politico also quoted a blog in which a Senate aide said one scenario being mulled would be to ask the House to pass repeal again and send the Senate a so-called "message" asking for a vote. That would circumvent various procedural hurdles.  We must jump into action today.

Republican traitor Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME, 202-224-2523), has already co-sponsored the bill, but if we lose Scott Brown (R-MA, 202-224-4543) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK, 202-224-6665), who each hinted they will vote to homosexualize our military, that makes the whip-count 60, and our troops will lose. Other key Senators include Mark Kirk (R-IL, 202-224-2854), John Ensign (R-NV, 202-224-6244), Olympia Snowe (R-ME, 202-224-5344), Richard Lugar (R-IN, 202-224-4814), George Voinovich (R-OH, 202-224-3353), James Webb (D-VA, 202-224-4024), Joe Manchin (D-WV, 202-224-3954), Mark Pryor (D-AR, 501-324-6336 and 202-224-2353) and outgoing Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR, 501-375-2993 and 202-224-4843).  So please call all 12 today to please FILIBUSTER AND VOTE AGAINST repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

There's the list.  14 phone calls.  How many can you call RIGHT NOW?

FOXNews is reporting the House is about to VOTE on DADT repeal.

I guess our efforts are focused on the upcoming Senate vote.

FOX's guest says Sen. Collins and another senator have bills
ready for the senate ... and Collins has over 60 votes needed
    to repeal #DADT.

May God help America avoid this disasterous legislation.

Being debated in House now, on C-SPAN.

I have written my Congressman. by Webmail.

If Don't Ask-Don't Tell is repealed, it should be to clearly abide by the US Code, Title 10, Chapter 37, Section 654:includes the following:
The prohibition against homosexual conduct is a
longstanding element of military law that continues to be
necessary in the unique circumstances of military service.

Oh My: Standalone DADT repeal bill passes House as Olympia Snowe flips to yes in Senate

    Hotair.com

    December 15, 2010

    Allahpundit

They already passed an amendment to repeal DADT back in May, but that was part of a broader defense bill. Today’s vote was on the standalone DADT bill that Lieberman and Collins are hoping to put in front of the Senate next week. The vote in May: 234-194, with just five Republicans voting yes. The vote today: 250-175, with 15 Republicans in the majority. (Among the 10 who flipped to yes this time: Jeff Flake.) It was smart of Pelosi to force a vote in the House, just as it was smart of Reid to table the vote on the DREAM Act so that the House could go first. In each case, the fact that the lower chamber’s already passed a corresponding bill ratchets up the pressure on Senate fencesitters.

In fact, it’s already paying dividends.

The short title of the bill passed is "`Enhancing Small Business Research and Innovation Act of 2009" if one looks at the actual text, but the Bill Title is listed as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010."

    See http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.2965 and

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c111:5:./temp/~c111mWz0qL:e605

    and http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2010/roll638.xml

    and http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2010/index.asp.

The House voted first to combine these bills and then voted on the final bill sent now to the Senate.  It was very sad to hear Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic Party Congressional Representatives arguing how right it was to pass this.

The sixth version of the bill listed since I posted yesterday is found through

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.2965:; through this site you can link to

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c111:6:./temp/~c111K6hC19:: which lists the Bill as H.R. 2965.EAH or the title H.R.2965 -- Dont Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010 (Engrossed Amendment House - EAH)

If you are wondering what an Engrossed Amendment is the following definition is given at

    http://aspe.hhs.gov/progsys/legi/versions.html:

    Engrossed Amendment House/Senate

A House or Senate bill or resolution that has passed the House/Senate and has been referred to the other chamber. The House/Senate, in passing (engrossing) the measure, has amended (made changes to) the measure. At this point the measure is NOT cleared for the President. Because the House/Senate has made changes, the measure returns to the other chamber. If the other chamber agrees to the amendments, the measure is cleared for the President. (At this point, the leadership of the House and Senate may also agree to hold a joint conference committee to resolve the differences between the two versions of the bill.)

There are currently six versions of H.R.2965 for the 111th Congress.  The fifth version is listed as Enhancing Small Business Research and Innovation Act of 2009 (Received in Senate - RDS) H.R.2965.RDS.

Does all this confuse you?  I am seeking clarity, but it seems some (many) in government don't mind confusion especially when it comes to passing bills quickly without the public's full awareness.  You may have to go through the http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.2965: site to get to the specific text because some of the links above have "temp" in them and time out.

The text of the sixth version HR 2965 EAH begins:

H.R.2965 -- Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010 (Engrossed Amendment House - EAH)

    HR 2965 EAH

In the House of Representatives, U. S.,

    December 15, 2010.
Resolved, That the House agree to the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 2965) entitled `An Act to amend the Small Business Act with respect to the Small Business Innovation Research Program and the Small Business Technology Transfer Program, and for other purposes.', with the following

    HOUSE AMENDMENT TO SENATE AMENDMENT:

In lieu of the matter proposed to be inserted by the amendment of the Senate, insert the following:

    SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010'.

Toward the end of the H.R. 2965 HOUSE AMENDMENT TO SENATE AMENDMENT is the following statement:

    (1) TITLE 10- Upon the effective date established by subsection (b), chapter 37 of title 10, United States Code, is amended--

    (A) by striking section 654; and

    (B) in the table of sections at the beginning of such chapter, by striking the item relating to section 654.

Section 654 is titled "Policy concerning homosexuality in the armed forces."  This includes a number of findings that indicate that homosexual conduct in the military should be prohibited including the statement quoted above:

The prohibition against homosexual conduct is a
longstanding element of military law that continues to be
necessary in the unique circumstances of military service.

Since this policy against homosexual conduct is longstanding and based on findings, it is alarming that it should be overturned on the whim of a lame duck Congress with no conclusive findings to contradict the policy in the current (and longstanding) code, and especially when our armed forces are active on more than one front.

    Excellently stated.
